If you're a beginner, this is a DVD to get.

The instructor helps you with all the basics like the best ways to position yourself on the foot pedal, how to hit your high hats, etc. It's also great that he says, you can just start with sticks and not need a drum or even a drum pad to get started.

This is an easy to follow and well organized intro into learning to play the drums. I was playing along with the DVD less than an hour after I got it! However, it does leave the learner feeling like there could have been more beats introduced, and more rythyms discussed. But overall a very good way to introduce yourself to a drum kit.

This is a great dvd for the beginning drummer,it covers the basics,but that's what this 2 part intructional DVD is called:"Drum Basics"!!! So if you're a beginning drummer,than this DVD is quite a bargain for the money!!! A very fun and informative DVD with a great instuctor/teacher to guide you along!!! I really like this, I started drumming that day and could do it with clear understanding. He also goes through the video slow and precise so that the beginner can undersand a lot about drums, not only where to hit and when. I wish it were longer but I will try to find more in this series. I also bought 2 others that are not nearly as informational as this video.
