Rating: - Even adults will learn from it!
My son received a Muse gift subscription and not only does he enjoy it, but I read it from cover to cover too! The articles are well-written and cover an amazing array of topics throughout the year. The writing style isn't just "dumbed down" for kids, but written in a way that makes understanding easier. Some of the articles have even sparked a desire for further research on his part. Fantastic magazine. But buy it directly from the publisher. The subscription price is exactly what amazon is offering, anyway, and you'll get it a lot faster. We also bought two sets of a year's worth from eBay.

Rating: - Seems interesting to my 11 yr. old
I purchased this for my 11 year old son. the first issue came this week. He said he only had time to skim it but the articles seemed interesting to him and he is looking forward to reading them. I also skimmed throught the first issue and it did seem to be different than anything else I have seen.

Rating: - you'll want to read it yourself
My eight year old son loves this magazine. So do I -- I have to snitch his copy when he's not looking.

Another review I read said the reading level is too low. This might be true. After a couple of years I have no doubt my advanced reader 2nd grader will be ready for adult magazines with similar content. But for now, this is perfect.
